Born in Texas into a military family, moving a few times prior to the age of three, Scott is a South Carolina native. Scott attended the College of Charleston. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting emphasis in 1990. During college he worked at a local bank which began a career focused on wealth building. He worked after college with a regional CPA firm rising to audit manager in five years. In 1996, seeking a focus on having a significant impact on his client’s lives, he formed his own CPA firm in North Charleston. By 2001, with the obtainment of series 7 and 66 securities licensees as well as life and health insurance licensing, the morphing of his career path had found its focus – integrating minimizing taxes through purposeful tax planning with all phases of wealth management. Over time with experience and rigorous curiosity driving the continuous development of the required vision, resources and platforms, Arrow Advisory was born. He is affiliated with Avantax Investment Services℠ of Dallas, Texas because their resource platform is a CPA focused model that understands the integration of tax planning into wealth management. Kathleen B. Edwards, CPA joined the firm as a partner in 2019, bringing more than 13 years experience in the public accounting sector and 5 years of private sector accounting, creating a diverse background to advise clients on complicated issues with a deep understanding of what business owners face day-to-day. She grew up in Destin, Florida and moved to South Carolina to earn her degree at the College of Charleston. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Finance. She attended the master’s program at College of Charleston while working at a regional CPA Firm and became certified in 2006. She was quickly promoted to Tax Manager after only 5 years, with a focus on business and tax services for a variety of industries including medical, construction, hospitality and professional services.
Kathleen’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping businesses grow lead her into her next role as a controller for a local hospitality group. A few years later, she was honored to serve as the CFO for a growing Clinical Research Company overseeing all financial activities, as well as human resources and business development. During her tenure, she focused on leveraging technology to enhance and streamline process, resulting in increased profitability. Her diverse background in tax, accounting, fiscal budgeting, and advisory services can help you and/or your company strengthen internal controls and maximize profitability.

Kellie manages our client service delivery process. Her focus is that our clients receive the service they deserve and expect. She will assist in the implementation of a client’s relationship with our firm and will look over the ongoing service is pursuant to our process and our client’s expectations. She is the point of contact if you have any questions about your service process. She will ensure that the appropriate member of our team is responsive to your needs.
Kellie grew up near Chattanooga, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1989 with a BA in Communications. From there, she went on to attend Clemson University’s graduate school, where she received a master’s degree in English.
After eight years in property management, Kellie changed career fields and took a job as office manager for a large national insurance company and worked there for five years before coming to work with Arrow Advisory in 2005. Shortly thereafter, she received her Series 7 and 66 licenses, providing her the required licensing to execute the needs of our clients.
